Apollo Capsule & Moon Landing Points

A few days ago I sent a snapshot postcard to Snapzilla with a picture of one of our newer exhibits, DaVinci Doctorow's Apollo capsule, and Troy McLuhan's Moon Map that shows the locations of all the Apollo landings. These objects are found under the rocket ring, to the west of the pathway from the landing point to the stage, just beyond the NOAA exhibit.

New Exhibit "The Nearest Stars"

I put out a new exhibit which shows the 20 stars and star systems nearest to the Earth. It is up on a platform near the Pluto platform, connected to that platform by a bridge.

If you click on a star, it will do a little flare animation, play a sound, and give you a one-line summary of information about the star.

Philip Linden mentioned Chaac's telescope on CNET

After visiting the museum, Philip was interviewed by a CNET reporter, and briefly mentioned the telescope trainer at the planetarium. See the interview here.

This section contains details of various spaceflight missions, especially those which encompassed several flights, such as the Apollo program or New Horizons.
