AstronomicalApollo Capsule & Moon Landing PointsA few days ago I sent a snapshot postcard to Snapzilla with a picture of one of our newer exhibits, DaVinci Doctorow's Apollo capsule, and Troy McLuhan's Moon Map that shows the locations of all the Apollo landings. These objects are found under the rocket ring, to the west of the pathway from the landing point to the stage, just beyond the NOAA exhibit.
New Exhibit "The Nearest Stars"I put out a new exhibit which shows the 20 stars and star systems nearest to the Earth. It is up on a platform near the Pluto platform, connected to that platform by a bridge. If you click on a star, it will do a little flare animation, play a sound, and give you a one-line summary of information about the star.
